Eco-friendly log cabin with hot tub
This beautiful log cabin with hot tub provides comfortable, spacious, self-catering accommodation for up to six guests in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It has bags of traditional, rustic charm & provides a true log cabin experience in stunning forest surroundings. It is situated on a large plot in a pretty clearing, with veranda and hot tub overlooking the burn.
The accommodation consists of open plan living area, dining area and kitchen, double bedroom, double-bunk room, twin sleeping loft (access via ladder) and family shower room.
The lounge / dining area has a vaulted ceiling, Freesat Satellite TV, DVD, Hi-Fi (via TV and DVD), free wi-fi, two sofas, easy chairs, dining table for six and a lovely wood burning stove. The front elevation is mainly glazed, to maximize the views, with French windows opening onto a raised veranda area overlooking the burn. The kitchen is well equipped, with cooker, fridge / freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and all necessary utensils, crockery, cutlery etc.
Shower room is tastefully finished and has electric shower, wash basin, toilet, heater and shaver point.
Bedroom 1 has a double bed, built in wardrobe / clothes storage and bed side cabinet.
Bedroom 2 has two bunk beds, wardrobe / clothes storage and bed side cabinet.
Loft room is accessed via a ladder and has twin beds, clothes hanger, chest of draws and bedside cabinet.
Outside there is parking for 2 cars, an elevated veranda with garden furniture, a BBQ / fire pit area (BBQ not provided) and ample grounds. The cabin provides privacy and is a short walk from the shores of Loch Awe. As well as beautiful scenery the grounds and surrounding forest provide an outstanding habitat for a wide variety of wildlife species. Otters have been seen in the burn and Red Squirrel and Pine Marten are relatively common, not to mention the many bird species that inhabit the area. A great location for wildlife watchers and nature lovers.
The cabin is timber lined throughout with authentic Larch boarding, double glazed, highly insulated, well heated and suitable for year round use. It provides a balance of luxury and comfort while maintaining the character, charm and feel of a true log cabin in a quiet forest location.
All electricity and linen (not towels) are included within quoted prices. This is a non-smoking cabin. Dogs are welcome at extra £20 each per stay.
A Scandinavian style, wood fired hot tub is available to guests at an extra cost of £99 per stay (includes 3 bags of logs). The perfect way to relax and enjoy this lovely location and the amazing night skies that this area has to offer. Extra logs can be purchased from our House Keeper. Please be aware that this is a traditional hot tub and not a Jacuzzi / spa and water is heated by a wood fired burner, which may take some while (up to 5 hours in first instance) to heat.
£100 deposit required at booking stage, with balance due 30 days prior to arrival.
