Pine Marten is a beautiful 3-bedroomed (sleeps 6) detached log cabin, set in elevated location with stunning views of Loch Awe and the mountains beyond.
Accommodation consists of 3 bedrooms, open plan living, dining, kitchen area, two shower rooms and entrance porch.
Entry is via a side door into a boot room / porch, ideal for boots and outdoor clothing.
The spacious open plan living area is comfortable and welcoming and includes a wood burning stove, vaulted ceiling, Sofa and armchairs for 6, Freesat / Smart TV and free Wi-Fi.
The kitchen is well equipped with a cooker, fridge / freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and all essential utensils, crockery and cutlery.
There is a dining area with seating for 6 guests.
Full height windows flood the living area with natural daylight with French doors opening on to the decking area from where you can enjoy the amazing views across Loch Awe.
The ground floor offers one double bedroom with bedside cabinets and clothes storage and one bunk room (2 singles) also with bedside cabinet and clothes storage. A stylish, spacious family shower room is also located on the ground floor featuring an electric shower, two piece bathroom suite and heated towel rail.
The upper floor features a beautiful galleried bedroom, with double bed, clothes storage, en-suite shower room with w c. and for the stargazers a large Velux window. This lovely mezzanine room is accessed via a wooden staircase from the main living area.
Pine Marten has a lovely garden with a stone built BBQ and garden furniture. There is private off-road parking and is adjacent to open meadows on which children can play safely, while watched over from the living area.
The cabin is a short walk from the shores of Loch Awe and to the many forest walks and cycle trails (cycle & boat hire available in the village). For nature lovers there are many opportunities to spot red squirrel and even pine marten and otters are frequently seen, not to mention countless bird species, including Osprey, Golden Eagle and White Tailed Sea Eagles .
Pine Marten maintains the character and charm of a true log cabin with its timber lining and authentic larch boarding, whilst offering luxury and comfort. It is double glazed throughout, well heated (& Air con), highly insulated and is suitable for year round use.
All electricity and linen (not towels) are included within quoted prices.
PLEASE NOTE – We would like to respectfully point out that this cabin is our home for several months of the year and therefore we strictly do not allow smoking and can accommodate 1 dog only.
